Simple, modern, fast, and fabulous pretty much sums up Suzy Quilts Triangle Jitters quilt pattern. I’ve fallen deeper in love with this quilt pattern the second time around. Triangle Jitters graphic nature, paired with the simplicity of construction makes for the perfect quilt project. My first time making this quilt I used pattered fabric that consisted of a nautical theme for my son (see William’s Triangle Jitters Quilt post). My second time, I decided on all solids as shown on the cover of the quilt pattern. I wanted my quilt to have an ombre effect, and I’m in love with the outcome, simplistic harmony!

To create an ombre effect I purchased Bella Solids in Spice, Princess, and Coral along with a bleached white from the Fat Quarter Shop. For the back and binding of this quilt I chose a complimentary floral print from the Rifle Paper Co. collection Wildwood that features a navy blue backdrop with tiny flowers in pink, and coral along with greenery that is scattered about.

Rolled up and ready, this cutie is all for me!
I can’t resist Rife Paper Co. florals!
I happened to stumble upon this vibrant mural in downtown Salt Lake City to photograph this beauty.
A friend of mine who does my quilting did a fabulous job! I love how the quilting creates a mood of flowing waves from top to bottom of the quilt. Creating a pleasant contrast to the linear nature of the triangles.
Triangle Jitters quilt pattern has several great things going for it that include, ease of construction, bold, dramatic, and modern elements, and lastly an opportunity to play with color that can be subtle or dramatic. I’m sure this pattern is something I will continue to use for years to come. As always, thank you for reading and letting me share my love of color and pattern.
