Welcome! My name is Heather, I am a mother to two beautiful children Elle 9, William 4, two pugs, Petunia and Penelope, one hamster Sammy, and our latest doggie adoption Milo!
Currently we live in Salt Lake City in a 1911 craftsman home not far from downtown Salt Lake City, and a stones’ throw from the University of Utah. Along with my husband Dave we keep our chaotic yet, wonderful life moving forward.
A Passion to create and a lover of all things beautiful from Art, to literature, architecture, interior design, and crafting arts including sewing, crochet, and knitting. I found myself craving to make and create at a young age. As a teen, a neighbor taught me a few basic sewing skills and I quickly found myself fashioning simple clothes for myself, and my younger brother. Later in adulthood making pillows, curtains, anything to spruce up my condo in downtown Salt Lake City became a key element in my need to create. After many years of feeling I was only dabbling in the field of sewing, my daughter was born in 2009. This is when I found myself really aspiring to improve my sewing skills as I wanted to make dresses, jumpers, and skirts for my growing tot. During this time, I also met two friends who are avid seamstresses. It would be these interactions that fueled the fire in me and a need to advance my sewing skills further. With an appreciation of what my friends were creating I ventured into the art of quilting, which quickly became a passionate pastime.
Presently I am a stay at home mom, and sewing has become a creative outlet for me in which I can express myself though pattern and color. A few of my other interests include, home decorating and design, cooking, crafting, reading, yoga, and running. Other things about me, I obtained a Bachelor of Art degree in Art History from the University of Utah in 2008 and went onto take courses in Interior Design at a local community college.
Thank you for stopping by, and joining me in the journey to create something beautiful that can be gifted to ourselves, our loved ones’, and our homes. Cheer’s to a beautiful life!
